When I was on Twitter the other night, someone had posted about this gentleman. His name is Julius Yego, he is from Kenya and he learnt how to throw the javelin from Youtube. He ended up going to the olympics... so I suppose anything is possible right when it comes to Networked and Global learning?
So it got me thinking about how I like to learn, and I decided that I would take a leaf out of Julius' playbook start with Youtube. So I started by looking at this video by Tips4Running. What I will take out of that video will be to train four times a week and increase my intensity each week. My ultimate goal would be to get my 5km under 20 minutes, which is pretty fast, and not something I think that I could achieve in the timeframe of this course, but we will see...
I have also moved my running machine back into my house (my mum was borrowing it). I have also charged up my fitbit. I have been walking this week, whilst pushing a pram. But I am going to start my running this week and I will try to be consistent with doing it at least four times this week. Now that I have my fitbit on, I will upload my results and see if I can share these with you.
Now to some sleeping so that I can get up to do some running...
