Sooooo I have decided, thanks to Rebecca White's comments about having a smaller goal of running 5kms that I am going to do this as my learning activity. I might use the app that Bec spoke about the Couch to 5km app and I forgot that I have Fitbit that I can actually connect to the network and tell people about my progress, or really display my progress or lack of!! So when thinking about it, this really is networked learning. I don't know why I didn't think of this!!

Reading through other peoples' blogs and seeing what they are writing about I thought that I would post some interesting thoughts.

Alex, I really like your visual representation of your PKM and when you are going to do what. I agree with your points about Twitter and Facebook, it is all too hard and too much, but isn't it funny when you are forced to use something for work or study. I have to use both for work and study and it drives me insane. I do think that part of the problem is not just 'filter failure' but the issue around feeling like you actually have to be interesting. Nobody wants to follow someone who is posting nonsense.

Bec, thanks for your blog about your Reflections on Learning thus far. The video you provided is a fantastic example of Networked and Global Learning. I wish that more schools could collaborate like this. I especially liked the idea that the teachers said about why learn about a different culture or country in a book when you can link up with a school on the other side of the world and ask them and see how they live. I think that is a really valid point. I have tweeted it!
Anyway, off to research my learning about how to run 5km....
