So how am I going as a student. In short ... not fantastic. I am quite behind in my blogs, have had trouble posting my own blogs let alone reading others. I've worked out that it is not because I don't want to, and it is not because I don't find this interesting, because I do, I just find this incredibly time consuming, and like most students who chose to study, time ain't something I got much of......
So the question remains, what do I do to fix this situation? If it makes a difference, I do think about this A LOT. This course, the concepts etc etc. I discuss them with my colleagues over lunch, with my students, with my family. I just don't blog about it.
So after reading Week Four info (remember I am really behind) I thought I would reframe using the CLEM framework.
Community - well I would say that this is the students in the N& GL course this term. David and other students have already told me to keep going as I am.
Literature - So I found this TedX Talk by David Pogue about 10 Time Saving Tech Tips. Brilliant!! Worth a look, some of these tricks may actually help me save time. Sometimes the actual biggest time waster is working out how to use the technology in the first place!!
Examples- I think those students in the course who have managed their time well are good examples. Charmaine, you seem to stay on top of things, so I wonder what your example for how you do this might be?
Model or Schema - I direct you to the University of Kent site which clearly gives reasons or a model on how to manage your time better.
You want to know the funny thing about this? I teach this for a living!!! Hah. I constantly say to my students, do as I say and not as I do....
